We’re almost in December (can you hear the sleigh bells already?). November has been a month of mindfulness - a time to take a step back and reevaluate our lifestyles. From looking at how we can make our current festive traditions more sustainable, to going back to the basics of the principles we follow.

All too often we forget just how harmful our holidays, parties and other festivities can be to the environment. And even if you are on a zero waste journey, it can also be quite overwhelming trying to change the way we’ve celebrated something for so long, especially without any guidance. I’ve done all the research and put together plastic-free guides for any celebration.

Plastic-Free Food Storage

Okay, we know plastics are bad for us and the environment. But we still need to store our produce before it goes bad. If not in tupperware and plastic bags, where then? There’s a lot of mainstream plastic-free alternatives out there and lucky for you, you don’t have to search for long for them because they’re all right here.





What Does Zero Waste Mean?

The term zero waste gets thrown around a lot these days, but many of its basic principles are easily lost in our attempts to be as trendy and up to date as possible. Let’s take a step back, and go to the roots of it all.

Just as we ended October with an amazing tradition, we’re doing the same for Thanksgiving (Happy Thanksgiving!). The food, the fun, the community are all ways Thanksgiving is awesome - but as we are being grateful for all we have, it’s important that we take the steps to protect it.
