Hey there!

Summer is in the air! And while many of you are planning your next vacation these days, I'm still quite moved by the experiences and great encounters that I had on Earth X.

That's why I took Earth Day and Earth X as an opportunity to do an "ocean special" in the merry month of May. So, this month was almost exclusively about the ocean, its threats and possible actions to protect it. Take a seat!

Climate Change and Coral Reefs

Coral reefs are like bustling neighborhoods for marine life, teeming with a crazy amount of different species. They do some pretty cool stuff too, like acting as natural barriers against erosion and storms for our coastlines. Plus, they're a lifeline for millions of people worldwide, helping them make a living. But here's the downer: these awesome ecosystems are in serious trouble thanks to climate change and other environmental issues.

More in this blog post.

The Great Pacific Garbage Patch: An Environmental Disaster

Picture this: a vast expanse of floating debris, spanning thousands of square kilometers, with plastics and trash as far as the eye can see. It's a shocking reality that showcases the detrimental impact of human activity on our planet.

Ocean Conservation Efforts

The oceans are home to a diverse range of marine life, and they're super important for keeping life on Earth going strong. Unfortunately, us humans haven't always been the best neighbors. Pollution and overfishing have messed up the oceans and put a lot of species at risk.

It's not all bad news, though! There have been some really cool success stories in ocean conservation that give us hope.

I share some awesome examples of people who stepped up and made a real difference for our precious oceans in this post.
